Successful Schools Do Things Differently

What does it take to get great results in schools with mostly low-income, minority students? The "Beat the Odds" research study found six keys to success at Arizona schools where student achievement exceeded expectations. The Beat the Odds Institute provides K-12 principals with the training, assistance and support they need to apply the research findings in their own schools.

 

32 ARIZONA SCHOOLS RECEIVE bto AWARDS

Nine metro Phoenix-area K-12 schools with predominantly high-poverty, high-minority student populations have received gold awards and were named "Beat the Odds Schools" by the Center for the Future of Arizona. Nine additional schools in Phoenix, Tucson and Marana earned silver Beat the Odds awards, and 14 schools in Phoenix, Tucson, Yuma, Fountain Hills, Tempe and Pima have earned bronze Beat the Odds awards.
